Why Specialized Skills Are Needed?

Hiring across borders or expanding into Canada involves compliance, timing and documentation, and mistakes here cost far more than money. We handle the immigration side so your team can focus on running the business.

What we do

  • Screen eligibility (net worth, experience, language, business concept) before the client commits.
  • Prepare the net worth statement, source-of-funds trail and business plan, and package the application.
  • Handle reapplications and refusals, including misrepresentation and inadmissibility issues.
  • Support the post-arrival stage (business performance reporting through to nomination).

Our Expertise
  • Investment, bookkeeping and accountancy, which is exactly what net worth and source-of-funds documentation requires.
  • Building financial decks and business plans.
  • PMP-style process control across a multi-year file.
  • Argument-building for refusals and grey-area cases.

Latest Updates on Federal and Provincial Programs

  • IRCC has paused the federal Start-Up Visa program since January 1, 2026.
  • The Self-Employed Persons Program pause has been extended until further notice.
  • Ontario’s OINP Entrepreneur Stream is unavailable to new applicants.

Mapping out growth strategies for corporate immigration practice.

Taking “this category” to mean the routes a client can use under Corporate and Business Immigration, these are the paths open now.

Business owners and entrepreneurs seeking PR

  • Provincial entrepreneur streams are the main active route. The five open PNP entrepreneur streams as of mid-2026 were BC (Base and Regional), Manitoba, Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick. Alberta, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Newfoundland and Labrador also run streams (see the table above), but I did not confirm whether they are open to new applicants. silaws
  • The federal pilot is not available yet. The Start-Up Visa is paused, and the replacement entrepreneur pilot had no published criteria as of April 2026. Clients who want that route have to wait, so offer a monitoring service rather than a pathway. armenian-lawyer
  • Ontario has no provincial entrepreneur stream. Both the Start-Up Visa and the OINP Entrepreneur Stream are unavailable, so the C-11 entrepreneur work permit or out-of-province PNP streams may need to be considered. nihanglaw

Business owners who want to enter Canada first

  • C-11 entrepreneur work permit (the stepping stone, especially for Ontario clients).
  • Intra-company transfer work permits and the Rural and Community Immigration Pilot are also cited as viable routes. imidaily

Corporations hiring foreign talent

  • LMIA-supported work permits, including Global Talent Stream.
  • LMIA-exempt permits, including intra-company transfers.
  • Employer-supported PR (Express Entry and provincial employer streams).

Refused or complex business files

  • Reapplication after a refusal.
  • Inadmissibility and misrepresentation issues.
  • Rewriting weak business plans and net worth statements.

Where I’d place the practice

  • Lead with provincial entrepreneur streams, since they are the only active PR route for entrepreneurs.
  • Offer C-11 for Ontario clients.
  • Position reapplications and net worth documentation as the differentiator, since your finance and bookkeeping background applies directly.
  • Add a “federal entrepreneur pilot watch” line so you capture those clients once criteria are published.

I did not check the corporate-side programs (LMIA, Global Talent Stream, C-11) for 2026 changes, so verify them before publishing.

I need definite paths that we can offer on provincil or federal levels or other options for CUSMA or other options for Visas for Corporate and Business Investors

Here are the definite paths we can offer. Federal permits give temporary entry, and the provincial streams are the only active permanent residence (PR) route for entrepreneurs.

A. Temporary entry (federal, LMIA-exempt)

PathWho it’s forKey point
C11 entrepreneur work permitFounders and owner-operatorsLMIA-exempt under R205(a), and passive investment does not qualify. With the Start-Up Visa paused, it became the primary federal entrepreneur pathway.
Intra-company transfer (non-CUSMA, C12)Established foreign companies moving executives, managers or specialized-knowledge staffRequires one year with the same or a related employer in the previous three years, in a qualifying role, and no LMIA.
C10 significant benefitKey personnel whose entry benefits Canada economicallyEvidence-heavy, and not “easier” than an LMIA, just a different test.
Global Talent StreamEmployers needing specialized or tech talent quicklyPart of the TFWP, so it still requires an expedited LMIA and is not LMIA-exempt. C11 Work Permit Canada 2026: Requirements, Cost & Process +4

B. CUSMA (US and Mexican citizens only)

  • CUSMA permits cover Professionals, Intra-Company Transferees, Traders and Investors. bridgepointlaw
  • US citizens can often receive a CUSMA work permit at a port of entry on the same day. millerthomson
  • Offer Trader and Investor categories to US and Mexican companies with trade or investment in Canada.

C. EU companies (CETA)

  • CETA covers intra-company transferees, investors, contractual service suppliers and independent professionals. immigrationnewscanada

D. Permanent residence

  • Provincial entrepreneur streams: the main PR route (see the table in my earlier reply).
  • C11 then a PNP stream: C11 work experience does not count toward Canadian Experience Class eligibility, so the realistic PR route after a C11 is a PNP entrepreneur stream. Another source claims C11 leads to PR via CEC, so confirm the position with IRCC before advertising it. schindlervisa
  • Express Entry senior managers category: one source says it targets NOC 00 occupations with Canadian work experience. I found only that single source, so verify it. sobirovs
  • Federal entrepreneur pilot: not available until IRCC publishes criteria.

Suggested service structure

  1. Entrepreneur from outside Canada: C11 permit, then a PNP entrepreneur stream.
  2. Established foreign company expanding: ICT or CUSMA, whichever fits the client’s citizenship.
  3. Corporation hiring talent: LMIA-exempt first, Global Talent Stream where the role qualifies.
  4. Refused or complex files: reapplication and net worth documentation.

Verify before publishing

  • Sources conflict on ICT. One says it is unaffected by the 2026 business cuts, while another says ICT permits face stricter scrutiny in 2026. Check IRCC’s current ICT guidance. sobirovsimmigrationnewscanada
  • Check current fees and processing times.
  • Confirm that C11, ICT and CUSMA work permit advice falls within your RCIC scope.
