Provincial Nominee Program - Province Chooses You - Canada Gives You Permanent Residence
Get the Province, the Stream, the Application Order Right The First Time
Nomination Is Not Permanent Residence
The PNP lets provinces and territories nominate people whose skills, education and work experience help their economy, who want to live there, and who want to become permanent residents. A nomination is the first step. IRCC then decides the permanent residence application.
- Each province sets its own streams, requirements and nomination numbers
- You Apply to the Province FIrst and Province decides if you apply through Express Entry or Apply directly through IRCC.
- IRCC still checks Admissibility
- You get 600 CRS points for provincial nomination
- You have 60 days to Submit An Application
Important Facts
- You must intend to live in the nominating province. Officers can test that intention.
- Quebec: “Quebec selects its own economic immigrants and does not take part in the PNP. For more details check Quebec Immigration website
- A nomination is not a guarantee of an invitation or an approval.
- Your province application and your federal application must tell the same story. Job, dates, address and family details must match.
- Every province and stream has its own rules. We confirm the current requirements at review.
